Potty time!

The time has finally came for my last little guy to be potty trained! I have been putting off this day for awhile now, not because I didn't want him to learn but because I'm having a hard time letting him grow up! Finally on Saturday my husband said okay, Amanda it's time! I just kept making excuses on how he "just isn't ready" but let's face it he's been ready! His first day and he only had one accident! It's been three days now and he is doing great! We haven't pooed in the potty yet but we're almost there! I must say it will be nice to finally be out of diapers and knowing that I won't have to ever buy them again! The sad thing is I know that they are all growing up so fast! I'm very proud of how well Blake has done and as much as I didn't want him to be potty trained it's so nice to see him being so proud of himself!

I'm sure that Blake will one day want to kill me for taking these pictures of him but who could resist, right?! I can still remember potty training my first two! GEEZ!!! All I can say is I'm so glad that it got easier!! It's funny how hard things are the first time but then after your first it gets a little easier then when your on your third and fourth you think this isn't so bad! By your fifth it's like a piece of cake! It took me 4 months to potty train my first! I must say I never thought he would really use the potty! I was about to give up! The second was a little easier only taking me a month and we were good! The twins I had potty trained in two weeks! Yes, that is two kids at one time!! I was so.... proud of myself! I couldn't stop talking about it and I really think I was beginning to drive EVERYONE nuts! I figured out if there was a sweet treat waiting for them after their deed that this would make them want to use the potty for sure! We got the Elmo Potty time movie and we were set!!! You go in the potty you get to pick a sweet treat out of the basket! Worked like a charm! Although with Tyler whom absolutely LOVES food he begin to make himself go to the potty even for just a little dribble just to get a treat! LOL! I must say that was pretty good. After about a month we stopped with the treats. It really worked! I wish it would have been that easy for the first two. Now with Blake all we have to do is show him the Elmo movie and say look Elmo goes potty and he's right on the potty chair. We are doing the sweet treats with him as well and so far so good! If you have a child that loves Elmo and you are trying to potty train go get the Elmo movie!!! It's the best!!!
