About a year and a half ago our little Tyson was diagnosed with esotropia, nystagmus and compensatory head posturing. We have been taking Tyson to see a specialist, whom has been wonderful, and in April we started the plans for surgery. Yesterday was the big day and Tyson had surgery on both of his eyes. The little guy was such a pro! We talked to him the prior weeks and told him that the doctor was going to make his eyes better. He was so excited telling everyone his eyes were going to get fixed! It was very cute!

We were up at 3am yesterday to make our hour and half trip to the surgery center. Tyson slept the entire trip and we were all glad but nervous once we got there. Tyson did wonderful! They gave him some "happy medicine". I must say Tyson was very happy! He giggled and giggled about everything and everybody. He was so cute! They put two stickers on his forehead so that everyone knew that he was having both eyes done. Tyson loved the stickers on his head and kept laughing about them being there. We colored before surgery and even played with some blocks. Then little Tyson went in for his first eye surgery.

After an hour of patiently waiting our little guy was all done! We were excited to see how well he looked afterwards. He was happy that the nurse gave him a blue slushy! He loved it! He even got blue lips from it! His eyes look so sore and we feel so bad for him but you would never know he had surgery yesterday! He is doing great today! He is up playing and acting like his normal self. He hasn't even spoke of his eyes. He gets to wear these nice blue and black sunglasses around the house to cut down on the light. He loves them!

He is happy watching movies with the other boys and we are preparing for Thanksgiving! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family and they have been such a help to us through this entire process! We are so grateful that Tyson is still able to see and we hope that with all of the modern technology that he will continue to progress. We know that God will continue to bless us and help out our little guy!
