A boy without words....

My little boy that has few words..... Believe it or not I didn't have to say one word to Tyler or even do anything to get him to look so precious in these photos. This is how my little Tyler communicates to us daily. At three my little guy still hardly says a word.

One of the best things for me being a Mom was hearing each of my kids learn to speak and hear them finally say "Mommy". For Tyler he said Mommy for the first time at the age of 28 months. I was so proud of him and happy to hear my name. Although we haven't heard him call "Mommy" again until today! My little Tyler was playing so happy like he always does but out of the blue he came up to me smiled like he usually does then reached out his arms and said "Mommy." How sweet those words sounded. He then leaned in and gave me a big hug and kiss. It was so nice to hear him be able to say my name again.

Tyler may not have words now and he may never have words for us all we can do is hope and pray. We continue to work with him daily and show him as much love and attention as we can. Tyler expresses himself with expressions rather than words. He can tell you so many things just by a simple look.

He was watching Daddy make him fun things with his playdough and Tyler just thought it was so funny! I couldn't help but get out my camera.

He was so excited but trying to be shy at the same time. He didn't want us to see just how very excited he was.

But finally he let it all out. This was a big moment for Tyler because right after I took this picture he look at me and said "Mommy funny." Two words in one day!!! I get the best pictures from Tyler.

His little expressions are amazing! They always tell so much! He's an angel in so many ways!

I can't say more about just how amazing Tyler is. I know that one day he will talk but until then we will be blessed with his many new and exciting expressions!

Santa Came!

This year I must say was the best Christmas we have had in a long time! Usually Christmas is so crazy for us! Both my husbands parents and mine are divorced so we end up dragging the kids from one house to the next time to spend it with all of them. Finally we had to say to everyone I'm sorry but this year we are staying home! I was sadden by this because I enjoy being with my parents for the holidays but it just wasn't working for our family anymore. We invited everyone to our house instead.

We spent Christmas Eve at my Mother's house since she just leaves 2 mins from us. The boys got to wake up there and open all of the gifts from her. My mom always goes over the top so it looked like Santa had stopped at two houses for them this year. The boys really enjoyed all the gifts from her and couldn't wait to get home and play with them all. The one big gift this year from her were plasma cars! These cars are such a blast! I will post a separate blog just about the plasma car because every kid should have one! My kids love them! It's been their favorite gift this year by far!

The boys had such a good day. We all got to sit back and relax. We tried something different this year hoping that maybe it would work out better and thank goodness it did! In past years the boys have all had the presents spread every where and the boys were opening gifts that weren't even theirs.
So this year we got one of thier chairs and sat it in front of our Christmas tree we started with the youngest first and each one of them took turns opening their gifts! It couldn't have worked out more perfect! Each one took their turn while the others watched and enjoyed seeing what everyone else got. It really turned out quite well! We were really proud of them for each taking their turns!

We had such an enjoyable time. We had dinner as a family and it was so nice not having to run around every where! The boys took the entire day to play with all of their new toys they even missed their naps for the day which rarely happens in our house. By evening they were pooped! They couldn't get to their beds fast enough. Our youngest Blake woke up the next morning asking if Santa came again. The next few days after Christmas he kept wanting to open more presents! It was very cute! We also had our birthday party for Jesus and it turned out to be a big success like always. The kids were very excited about it and we celebrated more this year Jesus' birthday than Christmas. We gave fewer toys this year and talked even more about Jesus. When people asked Blake if he was ready for Christmas he would respond by saying it's Jesus' birthday! We're having a "happy party!" We made the cake ourselves it was perfect! We wrote "happy birthday Jesus and we love you!" If you truely believe in God and have faith he will bless you and your family in so many ways. We are so greatful for how much he has truely blessed our family! This New Year we will continue to teach our children how important it is to have faith in God. To let them no that no matter what he is always with them to help them through whatever situation they need him. To love with all their hearts and to always forgive. I know that this year will bring us even more blessing than the last! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I hope that you all have a blessed New Year!

SANTA IS COMING!

My youngest, Blake is so... very excited about Christmas this year! I've never really seen him so excited about anything before. He begs to go the mall just so he can see Santa. He will stand and look at Santa at the mall for hours if you'd let me. He is happy being left there for the day anytime. If he sees anything with Santa on it we have to get it! He loves going down the Christmas aisles at Walmart. Everything that relates to Santa is just so exciting! Just the other day we went to visit my parents. While I was helping my Mom plan things out for Christmas Blake made his way downstairs to see my dad.
I hear giggles coming from downstairs and my Dad starts yelling "Amanda come quick oh and bring your camera!" Much to my surprise I find Blake sitting nicely on the couch with a Santa hat on and some paper. Oh and I have to add the chocolate that I found on his face as well. I asked what was going on if we were having a Christmas party and Nana and I were not invited. Blake added no, party Mommy, Santa is coming! My dad quickly tells me how Blake came down stairs and asked his Pup if he could write Santa a letter. So my dad gave him some paper and a pen and said well buddy you better make your list! He added a little Santa hat to Blake's head and that's when his letter began.

I couldn't resist just how cute he looked while deep in thought with his tongue sticking out! He laughed and he giggled. He said "Mommy, I've been a good boy!" We are counting down the days and we've made millions of trips to the mall! We're still adding to that list but hey I think I've got the biggest believer of all! I love this age and wish he wouldn't grow up any more! My little Santa and I wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

ONLY 5 MORE DAYS TO GO!!!!!!

Do all things with Love

Just recently I realized how the rush and schedules of everyday life tends to over whelm me and I miss out on those precious moments of my young childrens lives. This week I decided to take a break from my business and take a break from all of the daily household duties. As hard as it is for me to do this I felt it was important for my children. I put aside my computer which I spend a lot of my time on, I put aside the laundry and I spent every second of my day with the boys.

We watched Christmas movies, we ate popcorn, we colored, we played games, we simply had fun and did what we wanted. We threw out the schedules and did what we wanted. As I sat back and watched them play today I realized just how fast they have grown up. As my 2yr old played power rangers with my 4 year old I watched in amazement just how many moves he had learned from his big brother. It seemed like just yesterday I was still holding him and feeding him from a bottle. Now he's a big boy using the potty on his own. He is so independent. I look back and still remember just how hard things were when they were younger.

I recall feeding the twins while being pregnant with Blake. I remember being so much in love with the twins that I never wanted to put them down. I would carry both of them while being pregnant with Blake even though I wasn't allowed! My husband would yell at me and try and nicely say "honey you know you shouldn't carry the twins while your pregnant it's just too much for you." I would think too much for me, well hey I'm a Mom! what's too much for a Mom?! They needed me still even though I was pregnant. At that same time I was potty training my two oldest. Dominic had the hardest time with potty training and never really got the hang of it all until he was about four. Even though he is now five he still sometimes has accidents. He's always just too busy playing to stop and go to the potty. Bedtime was CRAZY!! My husband worked 16 hr days and was rarely ever home. I was working full time during the days and being a Mommy full time at night.

I'm still not sure how I did it all. I guess being a Mom I never even questioned my crazy schedule or ever realized that I was actually living one. People would say to me how do you do it all with so many little babies. I would smile and say I really don't know I just do. Not everyone is cut out to be a Mom. I truly believe that. It takes a special person to be a Mom. Mom's are special we never question our actions no matter how crazy they may seem to others we simply do what is best for our children and we do what makes them happy. My husband still can't understand how I can hold a child while they are throwing up and not get sick myself. I tell him I do it because they simply need me and knowing that they need me gives me purpose. The love I have for my boys is like no other. Words could never describe just how much they mean to me. Although I am often so busy that I frequently say to them please wait a minute Mommy is busy or I'll be with you in a second I have to finish helping your brother. I go from one thing to the next and then finally I can't even remember what I was doing in the first place. I may start out doing the dishes and then a child needs me so I attend to them while I might find a sock laying on the floor. So that sock gets picked up and from there I find a toy. So I then take the toy and put it away where I find that someone needs a drink so off to get a drink I go. I see that there is a school paper that needs signed so I sign the paper and what do I find? A letter that needs mailed so off to the mailbox I go. Then I think now what was it that I was doing?! It happens so fast and so often that sometimes I feel like I am simply losing my mind!

Kids don't need perfection. They only need to know that we love them no matter how busy we may get. Although we would love to have those "I love you" moments more often they simply can't happen 24/7 no matter how hard we try. My children love me no matter what and they some how understand just how busy life can get but they always know I love them and that I care. This holiday season take the time and spend a few days to show your child that 24/7 attention that they deserve. Things might not get done but just remember it's only one day and there will be so many more days to do all of those other things. You never know you might even learn something new from them.

On another note I found this poem that I wanted to share. I thought that it fit me so perfect seeing as I'm a Mother of all boys. I thought it was very cute and just couldn't resist sharing it with you.

The Mother of Boys

I am a Mother of boys.
I play goalie as I make supper.
I can dribble a ball as I answer the phone
and can assemble a train as I nurse a baby.
I am a Mother of Boys.

I measure a good day not by the weather or
the company, but by the number of bugs caught, the
quality of the sticks found, and the depth of the puddles splashed.
I am a Mother of boys.

Fascinated ears listen to me tell tales of alligators, dinosaurs, and
fast cars. I do load upon load of blue laundry;
the only pink item to be seen is when a red sock makes its way into the white load.
I check all laundry for reptiles and rocks.
I am a Mother of boys.

I most frequently say, "not so rough," "get down, please," and
"watch where you're peeing." I get dizzy watching little bodies
run circles around my inanimate object.
I am a Mother of boys.

I wipe forever-dirty faces and hands.
At night, I am amazed by the many new bruises and scrapes.
I join in prayers that thank God for airplanes
and pirates and smarties candies.
I am the luckiest Mother on earth.
I am the Mother of boys.

My birthday

I must say that I haven't been doing very well these last few weeks at blogging but I'm hoping to catch up here soon! My birthday was Dec 14th and like every year it gets better and better. Which is weird in a way because you wouldn't want to think that getting older would get better. For me though it does. Each year I look back and realize just how fast I have grown up and how much I know now compared to back then. Even though I enjoyed my childhood I have enjoying my adult life much more. Being a Mommy is by far the best thing that has ever happened to me and I cherish these times with my children so much. This year they were so thoughtful in celebrating my birthday. We were to all go out for brunch at my favorite resturant but my husband became ill and so did the twins. So we all decided it was better just to stay at home. My husband let me sleep in and he took care of all five boys all by himself! I was so.. proud of him! Not that he doesn't usually help out with them but most of the time I am included in the morning routine since I do it every day it just comes easier for me. My husband went to church while I stayed home to take care of the ill while he was out he pick up a cake to my surprise. The biggest surprise of all was the gift from my husband and kids!

Our new addition Chloe! She's 10 wks old weighing in at only 1lb. She's as tiny as can be but thinks that she is as strong as a large dog! She is sweet in every single way! She gives you kisses until you can't stand it anymore and she has to be with you 24/7! She loves being carried around and loves to snuggle! Which I might add she is doing right now along with her big sister Annie! If Annie comes near me now Chloe pushes her away with her paw as to say this is my Mommy! LOL!
The boys were so proud to show me the new puppy which I might add came with a nice pink bow! Included were several outfits for her which none of them fit but I am hoping they will in the near future! She's as cute as a button, I couldn't love her more!

The boys were so excited to give me the rest of my gifts which included some clothes and this cartoon card that played a funny Happy Birthday song! Blake loved it so much that he wouldn't even give it to me. He ended up playing it over and over again to show me just how funny it was. Then it was time for cake! Yea, cake! The boys helped blow out the candles and were so excited that they got to have cake! As Blake called it my Happy Cake! He is still asking for Happy Cake and that was Sunday we had the cake! After our little party at home my mom surprised me and had a party for me at her house as well. She made me my favorite foods and even able to find someone to make me a carrot cake for my birthday! Which just happens to be my favorite kind of cake! I can't get enough of it! Dinner was amazing and once again I got a lot of gifts! My family is so wonderful to me I couldn't have asked for a better birthday!

Birthday concerns

My son Noah is the sweetest little guy ever! He is always loving and wanting to take the time to help others. He is so smart and picks up on everything so fast! He amazes us in so many ways. We send Noah to a private Catholic School and recently we have been trying to teach him how to take his time and pray to God instead of rushing.
Just yesterday at lunch time Noah asked "Mommy can I say the prayer today?"
He went on to tell me that he had some "pretty" important things that
he needed to say to God.
Noah started his prayer off by saying "Dear Heavenly Father, please take care
of my Nana's brother who is very sick and needs your care to get better soon. Please take
care of me and all my brothers, Dominic, Tyler, Tyson and Blake.
Bless my Mommy and Daddy. Help Daddy get home safe from work. Oh and I almost forgot
please be with my Nana and Pop too! Amen."
I thought that it was the cutest prayer that I had ever heard from Noah. Usually he just says
thank you for this food, Amen. It was sweet to hear how he showed such concern
for others in our family. My Uncle was diagnosed with cancer just
three months ago and the cancer had spread throughout his body so there
was no hope for surgery to remove the cancer.
We have been praying for him since the news. We never even knew
that Noah was aware my Uncle's situation. I guess he must have
over heard us. It was nice to see how much he cared though.

On a funny note. My birthday is coming up on Sunday. Noah has been very excited
about my big day! I must say I'm not as excited! We were
at Kmart the other day and we were walking through the Christmas aisle.
Noah says to me "Mommy I haven't bought your present yet for your birthday. Then he
picked up an ornament showed it to me and said Mommy if you want this I'll
buy it for you for your birthday! I'll buy anything you want in here you just pick.
I smiled at him kissed him on the check and stated Noah your such a sweet boy to think of Mommy like that.
I asked him where he got all his money. He laughed and said well Mommy I don't have any but
I'm pretty sure you do. Isn't it in your wallet? You should look. A young girl next to us heard our conversation and said to Noah that he was very sweet for wanting to get his Mommy something. She asked him if he had saved his money for the gift. He replied no, my Mommy has some. Then he said but if she doesn't then I'll tell my Pop and Nana and they will buy it
for her. She smiled at him and looked at me and said he's pretty spoiled by them isn't he.
I replied very!!! My parents both thought that it was cute how he had volunteered them
for payment.
So tonight my Father took Noah to the store to purchase me a present.
My Father calls and says to me Amanda, you have to hear what your son just said.
I knew it had to be funny or I wouldn't have received the phone call. My dad said that
they were at the store and Noah had found a shirt that he said his Mommy
just had to have for her birthday. So my dad said well what size does your
Mommy wear? He said Noah paused then looked up at him and said well Pup I'm four and I wear a 4t so how old is my Mommy? So my dad not even remembering how old I am says to my son well your mom is going to be 26. BTW, I'm turning 28! So Noah says well my
Mommy she wears a size 26 then. My dad laughed and said why don't you call
your Mommy and tell her that. I in return informed them that I guess I must
wear a 28 then because they were a little off on my age.
I thought it was pretty cute that he thinks that your size depends on your age!
Just thought I would share that cute little story with you all.

May God Bless each and every one of you this Christmas!

Christmas Pictures

I just recently took some pictures of my kids and their Grandpa for Christmas. My Father in law lives on the third floor of our home and he spends a lot of time with our family. He helps my husband and I out a lot with our kids and it's so nice having him around. My boys just love him to death and they are always wanting to visit him! We try and remind them that Grandpa has his own house and he has his own things to do but Grandpa DOES hand out candy a lot so the boys never forget that! They are always knocking on his door wanting candy. Its so hard to get a good picture of all of them! This was the best one out of several that I did! Pretty much everyone looked grumpy but Noah!

I thought this was so sweet! As I was finishing up with them Dominic jumps up beside Tyler and gives him a big hug! It was perfect! Thank goodness I still hand my camera in hand! Just perfect! If only they could love each other this much all the time!!

Waiting, waiting, and more waiting when is everyone going to be ready!!! Noah loves being the center of attention and he just LOVES getting his picture taken! He was getting upset with me because he wanted more pictures of himself but I was trying to get some of his younger brother. So Noah just kept jumping in! Blake was less than thrilled with him! Being a mommy to five little boys it's so hard giving each one of them the attention that they all need! Sharing is a big problem in our house! We are working on it though.

My three youngest sitting pretty or I guess I should say handsome!

Last but not least my favorite! I just love this picture of my father in law and my son Blake! The look on his face is priceless! As I was about to take this cute picture of the two the twins decided to tear down our mini Christmas tree which was sitting right behind me! As I went to take the picture my father in law saw what was going on and this was the reaction on his face! I love it! Blake was saying oh no, Mommy! I took several others and I will post them later on!
